Telling Lies By Simon Ellis

A four minuet film made up of words and sound. The main character was Phil who was played by Tim Cummingham. There was only audio of the characters and no images of them. I like the way Simon Ellis scripted the film and what came on the screen. The story was about what had happened to Phil the night before and the dialogue works around phone calls that Phil makes and receives. It starts with Phil talking to his mum as she calls. The first lie of the conversation is that he doesn’t care bout how his girlfriend is feeling about him but just says he hasn’t spoken to her. In a way Simon Ellis is showing typical lies that people make and do on a daily basis and makes you see situations in a different perspective and it actually affects the person.
